Pimp my desk

Being back at work after 2 weeks off is a shock to the system. Not the least because after traipsing around the bright and bustling streets of New York, my desk just seems so dull. Thank you Raw Space for stepping in and showing me that my desk can be a pretty cool place to be. Boring old office supplies are so offensive when you could have a Babushka USB drive, ladybug pushpins, a cassette tape dispenser and (Homer Simpson's favourite) a drinking bird to keep you company!

Woman with a parasol

I wish there were more opportunities in day to day life for me to carry a parasol. Sometimes, when it's sunny outside and I would prefer not to put greasy suncream on, I just think a parasol would make my life a bit easier. Not to mention make me look as pretty as a Monet painting. I suppose you could always carry one on your wedding day, like these very pretty options from Pink Frosting.

Speaking of weddings, this site has had me in stitches for the past 15 minutes- Wedinator.

A little inspiration.

If you're looking for a little bit of inspiration in your life, then you can't go pass these gorgeous little quote tags from Paper Boat Press. The Emerson quote is my favourite. I bought mine from High Tea with Mrs Woo on Oxford St, Paddington, but you can also buy them online.

The girl behind Paper Boat Press is Kylie Johnson and on top of creating a variety of beautiful little ceramic items (like this darling cloud brooch), she also writes poetry.

As you may already know, we're absolutely mad about Christmas and as you can see (right) she makes these lovely, crafty chrissie ornaments. But best of all she can also make personalised star ornaments! You can order them online before the 15th of October.
