Once upon a fold...

If you click on this link, you will be taken to a website full of the most beautiful and fantastical paper creations. If you love paper then you cannot go past Upon a Fold. The stock in their online store is absolutely lovely and so different. It will definitely make you thin twice about buying a card at a newsagent's and then it will make you think twice about even buying a card. Why buy a flat card when you can give someone a pop up castle, or a jack in the box, or a build your own London/New York/Tokyo postcard?
If you look on their blog then you'll see that paper is somewhat of an obsession of theirs. As an Easter gift they've created two sheets to download with instructions on how to make your own origami bunny or chick. Thanks!

Everything's going to be allwhite

This weekend I'm planning a visit to the White by Kikki K store in Sydney's The Strand. As much as I love colour, colour and more colour, the store just looks so lovely and simple. A friend of mine has the white leather bound 2010 diary which is very pretty and classic. Although I don't think all this white would be a good option for you Em due to your propensity for spilling things.

A girl can never have too much stationery... can she?

So I think I've already well established the fact that I'm massively obsessed with stationery. And I know I keep posting about all these fantastic websites and their very cute paper goods- but this is another one that is worth mentioning. Notemaker sells a great range of little items from pens to memo pads, sticky tape and stamps, filofaxes, calenders, etc etc. They stock the very cool and quirky brands, Suck UK and MMMG. And check out the limited edition Woodstock moleskins.

Not just paper.. CREATIVE paper!

Pulp Creative Paper has captured my heart. Their Christmas items are gorgeous, like these beautiful little paper angels and the little snowflake card. All their other stock is amazing too. Wrapping, lighting, journals, gifts galore. Coveting this set of pink heart doilies.

Nostalgia...

These very lovely little cardboard creations are made by Under The Stair Studio and can be bought on Etsy. They're quite Beatrix Potter-esque, don't you think? For me, they bring back memories of being a little girl reading pop-up books. Weren't they so fun?

Hang me on your wall...

Yesterday I received my last issue in my Frankie subscription (courtesy of Oh's gorgeous parents). Le sigh, all good things must come to an end... but not this! I'll be re-newing it ASAP. I haven't had much of a chance to read the issue, but I did notice that their 2010 calendar is ready and oh boy it's a good'un.

It features work by The Black Apple and Ashley G and Drew, both of whom I heart and have bought from in the past. I think it'd look awful pretty on my wall at work...
You can source it through Frankie or Pulp Creative Paper

In other news, I've been having serious jealousy issues over Pretty Pretty Yum Yum's stamp collection. So while I was attending the Big Yum Cha in Ashfield on Friday I popped into Morning Glory and nabbed some cute teeny, tiny stamps. I have no idea how or when I'll use them, but I feel all the better for having them. ('scuse the flannel... I do know it's almost summer...). I bought some other goodies but more on them later

Life made simple, PDF style

I hope I'm not alone when I say I'm terribly disorganised. That means forgetting keys, running late and having a wardrobe of perpetually crushed clothing (irons and I never saw eye to eye).

This also means that it will be a friend's birthday and I'll have a beautiful wrapped present ready to go but no card. Short of scribbling my heart-felt message on a receipt or train ticket, what's a girl to do? Buy PDF stationery of course!

Check out this RIDICULOUSLY cute stationery set by Mel at Tinys.

It's really simple -
You buy the set, Mel sends the file to your email and then it is yours - forevermore!
Whenever you're in need of a gift tag, or some super kawaii notecards, you simply open the PDF and print it out as you need.

Now you never have to worry about being left card-less and you have some delicious looking stationery! Just be careful not to drool on the paper... those cupcakes look pretty tasty.

Tape it up

When I came back from Japan I had a suitcase full of sticky tape... I'm not even joking. Forget kimonos and fans - it's all about the stationery!

If you aren't finding yourself in the vacinity of Toyko anytime soon, Etsy can sooth those rabid stationery cravings.
